Why HappyValerieMe?
Because Valerie is me, and I believed that SMILE is the best thing to wear in many context. The easiest way to have a natural smile is simply to feel happy or be happy. In other words, the moment you feel happy, you will be able to give the most natural smile. Do you know that smile can directly influences other people's attitude and how they respond to you? It is actually proven that the more you smile, the more positive reaction people will give you. So, with that, I created HappyValerieMe to ‘spread the smile’ to all of you. Remember, SMILE is contagious! So keep smiling, you will never know where it might lead you to. Hehe. That’s basically the reason why I named it this way. ^_^

Who am I?
I am Valerie from a tiny little island called Singapore. I am a marketing communications professional passionate about driving meaningful innovation / movement to improve people's lives. I have gained experience in career and EU related topics from my full-time roles. Formerly a freelancer, I took on projects in video production and animation, as well as imparted knowledge as an assistant media trainer where I guided various Primary and Secondary School students in visual arts and digital media lessons such as Digital Photography, Animation and Visual Design.

My blogging journey began since 2004 with the main intention of documenting my own story. In 2013, I rebranded my blog and started sharing my views and thoughts mostly about lifestyle topics such as food, movies, festivals, among other things. Through my rebranded blog, I found my passion in content creation. I also earned privilege to many movie previews and got myself a video production project. The greatest achievement at that point in time was, it helped to begin my career journey in marketing communications.

I am interested in technology. My educational background in computing, communications and digital media, helped me build a foundation in my understanding of technology and content creation in today's digital world. It also helped me have a better understanding about the works that goes into creating these technology, as well as the knowledge to be the bridge between technological terms and layman language.

Additionally, I love to explore - new foods, new places, new thoughts/ideas, new people, new things. I like to share my views and thoughts, so this will be a place for me to 'spread the smile' to everyone of you. I love how technology allows me to do this sharing.
